Is your child demonstrating difficulties in school? If so, your child may benefit from an assessment, intervention, and/or counseling. Dr. Crosby-Cooper can assist with the following concerns:

• Academic Difficulties
• Behavioral Difficulties
• Low Motivation
• Depression/Anxiety
• Poor Organizational Skills
• Poor Self-Esteem

Assessments/Interventions

Response to Intervention (RtI) is a system for ensuring that all students receive instruction that is matched to their level of need. RtI is a combination of evidence-based assessment and interventions. Through RtI, academic and behavioral interventions are more closely aligned with high quality curriculum which allows students the best opportunity to succeed in school.

Psycho-educational assessments are the most commonly used assessments in educational settings. These assessments are a combination of cognitive and intellectual assessments, accompanied by behavioral and processing assessments that are used to determine a possible learning difficulty.

Independent Educational evaluations are conducted when the parent/guardian disagrees with the findings of the schools assessment, and/or when a second opinion is desired.

ADHD affects individuals in the form of impulsivity, inattentiveness, hyperactivity, and/or a combination. Individuals diagnosed with this disorder demonstrate behaviors outside of normal range for their age and development.
